Join the Friends of Orkney Cats. A regular monthly gift, at any level, helps us say “yes" when local cats need us most.
Every pound you give goes straight to the cats: food, litter, flea and worm treatment, vet visits, emergency surgery and the everyday costs of keeping our rescue running. Pick the level that suits you — and know that every single amount makes a real difference.
Orkney Cats is a volunteer-run community group, not a registered charity, so we can’t offer Gift Aid — but every penny still goes directly to the cats.
Purr Pal

Prefer a one-off donation?
If a monthly gift does not suit you, any one-off donation is gratefully received. You can donate at our Stromness shop or get in touch with us directly.
Friends questions
Where does my money go?
Straight to the cats. Your support helps cover neutering, vaccinations, vet treatment, food and warm foster homes to stay while our cats wait for their forever homes.
Can I cancel or change my amount?
Any time, in a couple of clicks, no need to email us. When you join you’ll get a link to your own Friends portal where you can update your card details, change your amount, or cancel whenever you like.
Are you a registered charity?
Orkney Cats is a volunteer-run community group, not a registered charity, so unfortunately we are unable to offer Gift Aid on subscriptions or donations. Every penny still goes directly to the cats.
What if I’d rather give a one-off donation?
That’s always welcome too! You can make a single donation here. Becoming a Friend just means we can plan ahead, knowing that steady support is there.
