If you want a calm lap cat, we can point you to one. If you’d love a chatty, sociable character, we probably have that too. With kittens, you’re guessing; with an older cat, you’re choosing.

Many older cats are also already litter-trained, used to living with people, and past the boisterous chewing-and-climbing stage. For anyone who wants a settled, affectionate companion without the whirlwind of kittenhood, an older cat is often the perfect fit.
